About Paxuni

We believe the people you should know are already around you.

Paxuni is building a university-specific network that helps students discover the people, ideas, and opportunities around them.

Universities are full of people.

Talented people.

Creative people.

Ambitious people.

People with skills, ideas, experiences, interests, and goals that could complement one another.

But students naturally build their networks around the people they happen to meet.

Classes
Roommates
Teams
Clubs
Friends

That means a huge part of a university’s potential network can remain invisible.

We think that should change.

Why we built it

We wanted to make the university network easier to discover.

The person who could help you build something might be in another major.

The person who shares your interests might be in a different organization.

The person looking for exactly what you can offer might be someone you’ve never met.

Paxuni exists to make those connections easier to find.

Not followers.

Not another entertainment feed.

Not popularity.

People you have a reason to know.

We believe people are more than their major.

A major tells you what someone studies.

It doesn’t tell you what they’re good at.

What they’re interested in.

What they’ve experienced.

What they’re building.

What they want to do next.

  • InterestsStartups · Music · Climbing
  • GoalsShip a product before graduation

That’s why Paxuni is designed around the whole person.

Students can share their skills, interests, goals, experience, availability, and projects — and discover others based on the same things.

The idea, in three words

Find.

Discover people beyond your existing circle.

Connect.

Find something meaningful to connect around.

Build.

Turn connections into ideas, projects, teams, opportunities, and relationships.

We don’t believe the goal of a network is to have more connections. We believe the goal is to make the right connections possible.

Start small. Build deeply.

A meaningful network can’t be created everywhere at once.

It needs people.

It needs density.

It needs trust.

It needs students who actually use it.

Chapter one

Southern Virginia University is where we’re beginning.

That’s why Paxuni is starting with one university and building from there. We’re learning what works, listening to students, building the network, and proving that a university-specific network can become genuinely useful.

Then the next university. And the next.

The bigger vision

We want every university to have a network students can actually discover.

Imagine arriving at a university and being able to see beyond your immediate circle.

People who share your interests.

People who have skills you need.

People building things you want to be part of.

People looking for someone exactly like you.

Projects you didn’t know existed.

Opportunities you wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Our long-term vision is simple

Build the digital neighborhood for every university.

What we care about

People over popularity.

We care about meaningful connections, not follower counts.

Discovery over familiarity.

Your existing circle shouldn’t define the limits of your network.

Action over attention.

A connection matters when it leads somewhere.

Building together.

Some of the best things happen when different people bring different strengths to the same idea.

Founder story

Why I started Paxuni

I started Paxuni after noticing something simple: a university can be full of talented, ambitious people, yet most students only know a small circle around them.

The person who could help build your idea might be in another major.

The person with the skill you need might be in another club.

The person who shares your goals might be someone you’ve never met.

I wanted to build something that made those connections easier.

That’s Paxuni.

Where we are today

It starts at SVU.

We’re currently building Paxuni with students at Southern Virginia University. This is the first step in a much bigger journey. We’re not trying to build the biggest network overnight.

We’re trying to build a network that is actually useful.

  • One university.
  • Then another.
  • Then another.

There are people you haven’t met yet.

People you could learn from.

People you could help.

People you could build with.

People who could change what you do next.

Paxuni is here to help you find them.

Find. Connect. Build.
